Genetically Modified Food Rallies up Protesters in Vancouver

May 25th, 2013, Civilians gathered downtown Vancouver in order to protest against genetically modified food and the biotech company Monsanto. The protest was made in order to raise awareness of the impact that gmo's have on people and animals. The claim that GMO's (Geneticallly Modified Organisms) harm people and the environment and that all GMO products should be labelled so that consumers know exactly what they're buying. The use of GMOs has been a growing issue of contention in recent years, with health advocates pushing for mandatory labeling of genetically modified products even though the federal government and many scientists say the technology is safe.
