In my previous post, David Suzuki talks about the fact that it is dangerous to genetically modify food. By taking the DNA of one subject and switching it with another, there is no way for anyone to predict the exact outcome of what is going to happen. This dangerous concoction is something that most of us consume everyday. Companies are now inserting this into our food without us knowing by not labeling their products to let consumers know whether the product is GMO-free or not.
Here is a link to an article that further talks about the danger of GMO's. It states that the mircoRNA (ribonucleic acid) in GMO's are finding their way into our bloodstream which can change the way a human cell can function

The harms of GMO
Now most of my post are talking about the positive ways that GMO's are helpful and useful, but i'm also here to inform you what you guys are getting yourself into when you purchase a genetically modified product. Environmentalist David Suzuki is here to give you a brief overview why GMO's are bad.
Genetically Modified Food Rallies up Protesters in Vancouver
May 25th, 2013, Civilians gathered downtown Vancouver in order to protest against genetically modified food and the biotech company Monsanto. The protest was made in order to raise awareness of the impact that gmo's have on people and animals. The claim that GMO's (Geneticallly Modified Organisms) harm people and the environment and that all GMO products should be labelled so that consumers know exactly what they're buying. The use of GMOs has been a growing issue of contention in recent years, with health advocates pushing for mandatory labeling of genetically modified products even though the federal government and many scientists say the technology is safe.
Genetically Modified Foods are now LABELED!
Thanks to Connecticut, GMF's are now becoming labelled when placed in a grocery story so that now consumers know how to differentiate between organic and natural foods and genetically modified foods. Here's an article that explains more about the situation.

What is Genetically Modified Food?
If most of you are still in the dark about what GMF's really are. here is a quick video that goes in-depth into what genetically modified foods really are.
The Safety of Genetically Modified Foods
The safety of genetically modified foods are a major topic that comes up. To answer this question, here is a video to help you understand the safety of GMF.
Gentically Modified Wheat FOUND!
Genetically modified wheat has mysteriously turned up in an Oregon field, and while there's no evidence that the crop is in the food supply, experts say it would be safe to consume. The strain of GM wheat found in Oregon was developed by the biotechnology company Monsanto, officials confirmed. The finding was a surprise because as far as anyone knew, GM wheat has never been grown anywhere in the world outside of experiments. While other GM crops have been approved for cultivation, GM wheat has not.
Is It Safe?
Field tests of GM wheat are subject to strict rules to ensure that the crops don't get mixed in with the food supply, said Clay Sneller, an associate professor at Ohio State University who studies wheat breeding and genetics. Fields have to be torched after the tests are done, and wheat is not allowed to be grown in those same fields for several years, Sneller said.
